A mate is looking for a new 4WD with a bit of tech and luxury.

He's looking at a high spec Pajero Sport.

However, I think he could be a contender for a new D4 if the price was not a lot more. He's not likely to buy used, but would by a demo.

I'm keen to hear what deals people have done lately to see if how much more he would need to spend to get into a D4 with leather and reversing camera.

I'm happy to hear by PM if that suits.

Thanks.

you could probably pick a Pajero for about 60%of the price of a D4.

LR have their "Approved" used vehicles, and there is this one (http://approved.au.landrover.com/en_au/used/2015/land_rover/discovery_4/Bruce_Lynton_Land_Rover-SALLAAAN5FA768011) for you nearby.

Just did a Pajero Sport quote, and it worked out to be 68% of the D4 I found. That's a pretty close estimate!

I thought I saw a demo advertised in the paper a few weeks back for $65k, which is only about $6k more than the top spec Paj sport. Of course I've seen nothing close since. It was probably the very bottom spec with cloth seats etc.

2 years ago my MY14 D4 TDV6 service courtesy car with 3K km on the odo was $70K plus stamp duty. I came across it on carsales.com.au . It was about $12K less than anything I could get locally.
