Except the number of IT jobs are going down.

I think they are being filled quickly EEvo.

Kids leaving school are studying IT and Business Management and taking any jobs they can at almost any wages.

10 years ago a company would of had 200 IT people.
today that same company will have 20 IT people.

Depends what you label at IT. Systems and hardware are on the decline as things are outsourced and we move into an IaaS and SaaS model, but when you include digital (coding, app development, UX design etc) aspects it's going through the roof in terms of roles and pay.

I include digital in IT and i dont see those roles growing.

I am happy with my near minimum wage , but the house is paid for , I can leave on time and walk to work.

having said that, "dev-ops" is the new hot thing.
