Apt Gear Install ........

Installed an APT fuel guard .....no probs easy ......

Installed an APT rear diff protector .....no probs easy .....( diff nuts as tight as buggery ....but clear access ...... so with a little effort can be undone .....

Tried to install an APT front diff guard .........not easy .....the two diff nuts that need to be undone to hold the connecting plate are almost impossible to undo ........super tight ....and difficult to access ................any tips anyone ????

Failing that, get your 6 sided socket, and a breaker bar. If you can get your hands on a uni joint for your socket / extension contraption, you could darn near remove anything.

Sometimes they are the length you need to go to- Desperate times call for desperate measures! A good socket and leverage is what you need.
This is what I cobbled together this afternoon while I was working on the power steering pump banjo bolts deep in the bowels of my other car (Nissan 300zx)

Have an air driven impact wrench in the shed .....will fire it up in the next few days and give it a go ........big worry is stripping or rounding the nuts .....these things appear soft given the amount of torque on them .......which is nuts .....pun intended !!

Metrinch or other flank drive socket rather than a hex socket. I've removed nuts that were almost round.

IIRC they are a toplock nut, so might take a bit more force than you'd think to remove.
