Geez, rub our noses in it, a D3 and a camper. My inlaws have retired and bought the same camper/van. It is a beautiful bit of gear and goes anywhere. I told my father in law we are going to put him in a retirement home and take his camper. At $26k decked out not a cheap option but better value than some of the top end camper trailers. We want the next size up with the kids. Oh well I shall keep dreaming. You will have lots of fun with those toys. I very envious.

Will be doing a few more local trips around here for a while. Might get up to Double Island, north of Noosa in a week or two.

Will be working on making a stone guard for it before our Kimberley Trip next year. Sunshine Coast to Broome via the Plenty Hwy, Tanamai Rd and the Gibb River Road. Good test for D3 and camper.

Yeah, its hard work camping with 4 childern under 6 years . But that camper would light the burden I would think.

Oh and I'll take the D3 aswell

Norto,
Yes, I probably would.
I am taking it across the Plenty Hwy and Tanamai track to the Kimberly, then along the Gibb River Rd later in the year. If you take it easy, should be able to take it nearly anywhere there is a reasonable road to drive on.

Hi Norto,

I'm getting around 12.5L/100km when towing on the hi-way.

A friend of ours has the same model. This has already travelled the Gibb River road with out a problem. The independant suspension seems to be OK if you take it easy.

im using around 15l/100km towing in hilly country at about 90 to 95 kph
a bit disappointing
hope to go to cape york next year well see how the coromal suspension handles it.
if it gets too rough ill park it and use a tent the rest of the way
