Agree, but no-one wants to know.
People say "If" it happens here, I say, get real, the word is "when", but like I said, no-one wants to know....
Any comments at all, & ya're a racist. Me?, I think I'm a realist..

How many examples are there here of terrorists coming to Australia specifically to carry out terrorist acts? I thought all ours, including Monis, were home -grown. And don't mention refugees because they are coming here to escape the terrorists.

The refugee issue in Europe as played into the hands of the likes of ISIS, with open boarders its hard to red flag who's who. Blame Mr Brown for that Cock Up.

The law makers are also to blame and I am sure a lot of this is due to the European Union. Only last week Muslims jumped the fence and prayed to Alllah in the grounds of Westminster Abbey, if any other religious group had done this they would have been arrested but this lot were left to do as they please.

Its only going to get worse.

It's more to do with the Sunni Shia Islamic civil war than the deep hatred both sides have for western politics. Belgium Islamic community is a hotbed of high unemployment and discontent waiting to be used.

If what you say is true, then why would bombs be exploded in a place where the victims had nothing at all to do with that situation?
The other point I would make here is that it's interesting that nothing like this, no illegal immigrants, no bombs, no nothing, happens in China, Russia, Japan etc,..I wonder why that is?!
We are VERY lucky that we are surrounded by a reasonable expanse of water, otherwise we'd be facing far greater problems than what we are.
Blknight, Yes, I understand where you're coming from, & in terms of "time" I hope you're right,....any sane person would want that to be the case, but.......
Disco, not everyone that leaves their country leaves it "to escape terrorists". There are multiple instances, where even in Australia, this is definitely not the case. Sure, they may want to come to Aussie, but their main reason would not be "to escape terrorists". For goodness sake, many of them support, and have the same ideology of the terrorists! Many do, but as has been proven, some don't, & that is the problem,...Jeez, there's people on all sorts of Aussie Media EVERY DAY, espousing & justifying the rights of Terrorists,...you've heard 'em & so have I.
We need to "Harden Up". Tht guy Monis, the person involved in the Lindt shooting, ...Illegally entered Aussie from Iran, where he had "history",..openly preached anti Western pro Isis views everywhere, wanted & under suspician on all sorts of things,....and we let him roam the streets,.....and there are HEAPS of guys like him around,...ya see them ouside the courts when one of theirs is in there,..assaulting & abusing anyone in sight,...and it's getting worse.
But don't forget, I'm a racist, yeah right.
Pickles.
NB: In terms of Forum Rules, this is of course only my opinion.

I dont know where the lies end and the truth starts with all this.
Obviously this did happen.

I read somewhere they were doing training exercises there just before this happened. Cant recall what exercises though.
All too often there are doing training exercises just prior to the real thing.
Coincidence perhaps?
Sandy Hooks, Sydney and others if i bothered to remember.
We live in a crap world.
We have nasty civilians doing horrible stuff no question.
But we also have nasty leaders pulling the strings.

Even that picture of the 3 bombers looks suspect.
That third person almost looks like he was photoshopped in!
Look at his right hand? Is that pointing the wrong way?
Yea yea im a foil hat wearer.

Different trolly and almost looks like the resolution of the guy on the right is different to the others.

Again its likely just my foil hat effecting my vision.....
Who knows......

His hand does look little strange, but to say its some master plan by some secret government organisation is probably a bit un fetched.

Saying that to fight evil they say you have to fight good also, and I am sure theres many a strange things go on in those places where we will never get to see.

Mainly to close borders so they keep the people in their own region that they want as prosperity needs people. Also they can deal with the people they don't want. A secondary benefit is the pleasure of watching western countries in turmoil as reprisal for invading or abandoning the region depending on what side you're on and to watch the massive government expenditure on security measures.

Agreed.
"Muslimism" is not a race of people, it is a religion.
So how can one be called a racist.

Muslims can be from any race - Asian, White Anglo-Saxon, Pacific Islander etc. Not limited to one race.

In fact, this is something I have noticed in the past - a large proportion of people either sought for or arrested in connection with ISIS, anywhere in the world, seem to already have police records for unrelated offences.

It may be just that the ones with records are the ones that are easy to find and arrest, but I don't think so. There seems to be something about their ideology that attracts thugs.

Poor areas, unemployed alienated youth seeking an identity, forming groups with similar people, crimes for money, its just normal. Add propaganda and bragging rights and ISIS seems like an adventure. Throw in extremist indoctrination and breed martyrs.

"It's Just Normal"?...What are you smok'n Disco?
Normal?....Have you see what these people are doing,...all over the World, in Iraq, Syria, anyone that doesn't "convert to Islam"?.....Beheadings, Torture, MASS executions,.....these people are too radical for even Bein Laden's mob. Two Policemen in Melbourne can tell you what they're capable of.
"Normal"?!!.....I hope it isn't. These "people" are all tarred with the same brush, they have the same mindset wherever they are, Australia, Turkey, U.S., Brussels, doesn't matter where.
Once again, IMHO of course. Pickles.

My youngest caught the train out of Brussells to Berlin the night before the attacks...

I'm glad his timing is good

I'm pretty pragmatic about the odds of being involved in an incident in any city.... But Mrs Bytemrk isn't a happy camper right now.

rar, could you please explain to me what you mean in your first two sentences? Pickles.

Europe closes its borders, and Jordan is overfull with about 1,000,000 refugees according to UNHCR. There's no where to go. The people on their side have to tuff it out, stay put and continue to building an economy. The people that don't comply or they don't want disappear. They build/engineer the society/population they want. It's only a theory. The fundamentals have been applied before.

The coalition invaded the wrong country, for the wrong reason years ago. This war in Syria should have been sorted years ago, it is because of the fiasco in Iraq that this has come about. Where to from here?

Our daughter was at a medical conference when the others were arrested last week and she caught the train to Zurich before the bombings. As she said, had they attacked the conference, there were plenty of doctors on hand....

She arrived in NY today on her way to Toronto to do an intensive care course..
