Installing a power outlet the other day and noticed a blue blade fuse in the harness behind the ammeter/hour meter binnacle. IIRC blue are 10 amp.

Anyone have an idea what this fuse protects?

Blue is 15 amp. I got no idea about what it is.

:BigThumb: Thanks Rod, I knew you'd have an answer. :D

Cheers
Enjoy the LWE, not too many Easter chocolates! (Sounds like you've been into the liquor ones already.)

The clearest scan of the electrics/schematics I've seen is in the RFSV emei. It could help.

There is a 15A isolated fuse for the inspection lamp.

This gives me some comfort because I tapped into the leads for the inspection lamps for the power socket so I could power up the phone and GPS when I used them. Now I know that I at least have 15A before I start letting the smoke out. ;)

Handy hints counter:

Put the emei pdf on a stick and go to Officeworks. The attractive young assistant will select the schematic and print it on A3 for $2. Then you can laminate it at work or somewhere. :)

While I still have a job, won't have one in a few days/weeks. :BigCry:

Damned federal health cuts.

Even better, A1 size is $2.40.
After spending the last 3 weeks repairing the damage after mine tried to burn itself down, it's much easier to read when you are looking at a 60x80cm piece of paper.

edit. The other fuse, if it's the same as the GS, is spare. It's worth pulling the fuse out, cleaning the socket with contact cleaner and putting a new fuse in. It's probably been there for 25 years, and has 25 years of dust and road grime on it (mine did) and may not work properly because of it.
