Thoughts?
Have been through a couple of threads with post 2007 ABS and 3 Amigos. HB TC and ABS. Might be something in one of them, and will work them through.
However, little differences:
Lights on - Found 30A fusible link blown but 30A ABS blade fuse intact. (Because I had been fiddling in the area with jumper wires etc trouble shooting CB did think I must have shorted the bus bar accidentally) Replaced the fusible link (rocking horse poo comes to mind) all good lights out. WRONG! drove down the street, next start all lights back, fusible link blown again.
While in motion, clutch, engine off, restart, lights out.
With ign on and engine running brake pumping, checked downstream side with a meter out and at each grad from "short" to Megohms - ziltch!
Now it gets interesting.
1. check for faults with Bearmach Hawkeye - Only Historic codes nothing recent! Did a clear anyway.
2. at $6.50 ea fusible links could become expensive so manufactured a temporary blade holder to fit the across "link" position with 30 A blade fuse. Lights still on, fuse intact, no error codes.
That is about as far as I've reached at the the moment.
Thoughts??
Back again later - More perplexing!
Deffie sat quietly for a few hours while I was doing other stuff. Then decided go down the River and have a coffeene break. All worked! Lights went out after start when they are supposed to. After the Coffeene same thing. Being doubting Thomas after arriving home stopped, re-started now have all the lights again - 3 amigos. Fuse OK! ??????? At the moment now not game to look :(
Running down to Goldie Thursday in another car. Will wait till I get back
RF
PS: This is the sort of time consuming &*%(&% that keeps me away from my S1 restoration!
