All,

Our very own Weeds aka Kelvin is as we speak sitting out there in the Simpson enjoying the stars. I haven't spoken to him since his departure, but he is planning on calling Macca tomorrow morning on a sat phone.

So listen out everyone for a AULRO contribution to Macca style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Hey

Hope I didn't have every body up waiting for me on MACCA, I think I left it to late (should have rang earlier), I rang in at about 8:30am, while I was not expecting MACCA to pick up the phone I thought it would be maybe on hold for a little bit and than put through as I had a $100 budget on the sat phone, just kidding @ $2/min I was prepared to be on hold for a bit. A lady answered the phone and took down my number than asked what i wanted to talk to MACCA about, I indicated that I would like to summit a weather report after crossing the Simpson and have a chat about how good the condition of the cattle were in considering the drought, she than asked if there was anything else which I wanted to talk to MACCA about which I said No, she said she would pass my request onto the producer and if they could fit me in they may call back. Well the sat pone dropped out once and the only way i could get a link was to power down and power up again, the wind was blowing 40 knotts and it was freezing, I waited till 9am than turned the sat phone off. I must upgrade the antenna on the defender, the little rubber thing is only good for about 5km out of town.

Thanks Steve, I would have been reading your posts.

Next time maybe
