I'm afraid this one is almost beyond help, about the only things salvagable are the driveline (original motor), the grill and a few other odds and ends, shame really, pics up later today, Regards Frank.

Sad to see such decay. One of the S1's I picked up wasn't much better, plenty of South Coast chrome!

WOW, that's worse than the one my mate picked up last year:( . His the front springs had rusted through & one had fallen on to its side jamming up the steering :confused:. We had to drag the front side wards to get it out of were it was stored , the fire wall was so rusted the steering column had fallen out. It was quite a job getting it on to the trailer. We were lucky that when we pumped the tyres up they stayed inflated long enough to get it on the trailer. :p

It is surprising what will stay inflated - last year I had occasion to move a trailer that had been sitting with flat tyres for around fifteen years out in the bush. Pumped the tyres up, towed it about two kilometres - and I noticed yesterday the tyres are still inflated. Pretty certain those tyres have been on those rims since the 1980s!

This one was parked next to the previous SI I brought home, except a tree had fallen right up the middle of this one, pinning the chassis to the ground.
That's why the bottom of the chassis rail is almost non-existent, looks like this SI was used for a target for a high powered rifle, I hope the engine and radiator are ok.
I will strip what I can and post up what I can save, at least the 2 bonnets are in good condition, John I don't think these tyres will hold air, some big splits and even the rims are rusted right through, I was hoping to get a few more Lug type tyres for the SI we are doing up, will keep you all informed, thanks for the interest, Regards Frank.

P.S. The reason the Crane jib is on top of the SI is that there were no solid spots to get purchase with the chain and dogs, none of the damage is from the crane, well maybe a little bit, cheers.
