Hey guys,
New Discovery 2000 model owner here. I wanted to know (this may be obvious to some people) where to buy the newer looking head lights from the 2003 onwards model to fit onto my 2000 model.
The lights I'm looking to install is the same as this discovery here. I found this photo from this forum
I looked around on eBay but could only find 1 side and they came from USA so shipping was crazy.
Thanks in advance for any info :D
Cheers

D2a headlights ;) Good luck with your search because as soon as they come up they go and at a premium because of people like you willing to pay:p

Also not a straight swap, some panel cutting and refabbing to make them fit, also need the trim under the light as it is different.
There is a tutorial somewhere on the web that shows the body work fabbing to install them.
Cheers Mario

There was a set on Gumtree a few weeks ago in Sydney but the bloke wanted $650 which is out of my league. he had the adaptors for the wiring also.

Thanks for the info.. Lol I am not willing to pay $650, the lights I've got now work great and I have a nudge bar so I'd prefer to put some external additionally on instead
Thanks for the responses

here it is https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/discovery-headlight-conversion-to-2003-on-lights.71266/ though even if they look good it's a PITA to replace the bulbs compared to the non-facelift lamps

Especially if you have a bullbar!
There's a PDF by Alive Tuning on doing a full facelift swap floating around

The external spotlights are easy to know off? Isnt there a way to secure them with a unique lock nut or something?

He's referring to the D2a facelift headlights.
They can be removed in under 5 seconds per side by a skilled thief.
But this is Australia ;) no one wants to steal land rover gear here!

Or else it just shows what dumb-arses they really are
( as if we needed to have it confirmed).

only reason someone would steal land rover parts is if they mistook it for a jeep or land cruiser

Quite possibly but there's not the market for them.
People in the UK have gone to the effort of laser etching VIN numbers into them in case they're stolen. There's also weld in plates to go from facelift lights to pre facelifts.
Have even heard of insurance companies insisting on people installing lockable collards on their driveways in order to get insurance.
Crazy.
Anyway, off to get bits for my facelift retrofit :D
