Hi all.

Wanting to know if i could get someone with a good knowledge of how the trans should work on a road test ie torque converter lock behaviour and shift quality etc to please test drive a vehicle i am looking at in Huntingdale. Would be happy to pay any out of pocket and time expenses for an assessment. I won't hold you responsible if it fails next week but would expect to have a thorough road test and 'as is' report. You can call 0408995635 tomorrow or PM anytime for more info☺

TIA.

Wellll. Marcus (chops) ( thankyou hugely mate!) has put his hand up to have a test thrash er drive however swmbo got some cheap flights so we are off to have a look for ourselves!☺☺ Listed my ute for sale on gumtree today and hope it sells as there really isn't a possibility of getting it without getting rid of the other first!! hope it is all it is made out to be. Will report back!.

Need to sell the ute now.... can't keep them both. The deal was it had to be no more exxy than the ute per monthly payment. We're on a tight rein here 😕

Is it Maya Gold?

That sounds like it, not certain yet. The leather etc is in really good nick for its age too.

Well done JC, looks pretty honest, low km for age.

Looking at images tyres and few internal marks the only thing I could see. Well done again.

Well its been a long day. Delayed flights, scumbag drunken foul-mouthed passengers and screaming babies on the plane however the thought of going back to pick up the rangie next weekend and driving it back home made it all fade onto the background. The l322 has always been on my list of desirable rangies so in the company of my isuzu county i feel like i have 2 iconic models of landroverness. Can't wait to start using it!! The foray into dmax ownership was a 2 year experience thinking that maybe a new diesel auto dualcab ute would be a good towing and touring rig. It was an impressive vehicle in all ways but comfort. After 3 hours driving i was popping pills like candy and swmbo was certainly most unimpressed by the vehicle. The clincher was a month or so back when she rode in the rear seat and that was it. No more. So the search for a decent replacement for towing the van and touring had to be found. The dmax did all that perfectly and im going to miss certain aspects of it. Going to really really enjoy this rangie though!!! ☺☺☺

I'm not sure how to post pics from my ph to here i might just have to load them on to the computer first then post some up after I'm home on Sunday .

Really happy to have found one of these and can't wait to get it on the road!!

Ha first thing is to get the tyres fitted and the rego inspection over with! I've already thought a destination for the first trip/ voyage . An east coast of tassie tour one weekend. One of my favourite roads in the state.

Hi JC,
Hope you have an enjoyable drive in your beast down in Tassie. :D

A question for you.
Does yours have heated seats?

Hi mate i have driven lots of customers l322 however this is the furthest I have been in one and i am already smitten. I can say that where the tdv8 is far smoother and quieter the td6 is still a fantastic engine. The suspension and ride (which is really the main reason for swapping out the dmax for the l322) is beautiful and the comfort from the hugely adjustable seats is a godsend. You really need to get yourself one Ean!!!

Hi, yes i will thankyou, i love tassie roads! As regards to seat heaters no it doesn't have them. Nor the steering wheel heater either. It was a little disappointing however on a 10 year old car it was entirely possible that they wouldn't be working anyhow 😮.

Bugger. Was hoping you did. I'm pretty sure I have them but its not connected. Have bought a console with the heated seat symbol in them and when I pulled out my controls it didnt have any spare wires,so I'm wondering what wires are connected to give the heated seats as I have the yellow control under the seats which I'm pretty sure is for heating them.

I remember you telling me I shouldnt buy a TD6:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p
Its OK,Deb got a Territory Turbo Ghia instead, the one with the XR6 Turbo mojo.
Enjoy the new ride,at least you are well equipped to deal with everything you warned me about.
Deb still wants a Rangie, when she can drive again we may do something about getting a newer one and getting rid of her Red Terror. Its no good to me,I wouldnt be able to keep licences up to it.Drive it once a week to keep it going;););););) Hasnt done 61000km yet,its a 2006 model.
