Big day today. Lots of jiggery pokery to crane the assembled axles down, under the chassis then back up into position around 4 1/2 to 5 hours. Apart from the Engine and Gear box assembly these are the biggest bits. Have the new shockies to be installed. It is now starting to look like something and now HEAVY to move on the jig.,

Someone a little while ago was querying springs. Those now installed are the originals with one 2nd hand front "eyed" leaf. Wire brushed, heavy spiral wound, One ea to each pack. Phosphoric acid and painted, - reassembled with all new bolts. Now a fingers crossed and see how it goes when it finally gets on road,

Have to leave the brake system now for a while, $600 excess for SVX (now Cilla :) did grow on me) a wallet HIT!

Will do other chassis stuff, whatever is cheapest ;0)

Cheers
