Hi all,
Now that I've got the CDL linkage fitted there is an issue. Of course there is - it's a Land Rover...:-)

CDL works as it's supposed to - with one wheel jacked up it'll spin freely with CDL disengaged and not with it engaged. Issue is that the indicator lamp on the dash only sometimes lights up. I'm guessing a loose connector but whereabouts on the transfer case is it ? Again this is a guess but on the top where it's just about unable to be reached ?

Yep. All is good apart from the indicator. Seeing as I've just had the gearbox replaced it's most likely that the plug isn't properly seated. I just need to know where it is so I can give it a good clean and reseat.

you guessed well, there it is on the top, on early modells the switch is poor desingn and it's connections are weak, it fails where it's pointed in the pic

Thank you sir. Wednesday will be handbrake adjustment and switch replacement time.
From the pic it's a dodgy design - sorta vaguely reminiscent of some of the electrics on an Alfa that briefly owned in the '70's.
