Disco2-dan, if you see a QLD plated d2a around Penrith, it could be me.
On the drive down, DiscoMick saw my AULRO sticker at a rest stop somewhere on the north coast and stopped for a quick chat.

Note from p38arover May 2020: Brian was an ex-colleague of mine and passed away a couple of years back.

Not quite. If it is the one I know, it belongs to 4BD1Discovery (James) whose father is part owner of KLR Automotive at Kingswood so it is sometimes there. James is a mechanic with Subaru at Parramatta and you'll often see it there. I thought James fitted the workshop back - but I've never seen the aluminium boxes fitted to it.

Send James a PM.

Met the owner, Mark, of this one yesterday in the shopping carpark at Katoomba. He said he'd just finished rebuilding it having spent the last 12 months on it. He reckons he'd never done any mechanical work before - did a good job I reckon:

I saw a Hilux ute with two 130 stylesides stacked on top of one another and used as a canopy on the back!

This was at the lights at the start of Avoca Drive.

Now that struck me as weird!

The two ute stylesides were even from different models as they had the LR logo in different places.

I was so dumbstruck I didn't have time to get out the iphone to take a pic.

Spoke to a guy with a fairly new Puma at a local shopping centre carpark. It wasn't until we had said good buy and gone our separate ways that I joined the dots of our conversation and I reckon that he's the son of the guy that gave my father the Land Rover bug in the early fifties. :o

I do get around a bit. Got home about half an hour ago. Quite heavy rain here, and much more of that and the road north from Ballimore will get a bit doubtful. Already up to a foot or so of water over the road in a number of places, and the bridge over the Talbragar will probably be under by tomorrow if it keeps rising at the rate it did between yesterday morning and lunchtime today. (Dry then, a bout a metre below the bridge now)

That would have been me ... and thanks for the wave back.
Just on way home after a month in Tassie, and so few responses to a wave to oncoming vehicles.

And thanks for acknowledging me. I was on a mission from flying down to vic to pick up my rangie from our old place, visiting family in dromana then driving to our new place at south west rocks. Big day behind the wheel.

Passed a 110 towing an Airstream van going into to Canberra after lunch on Saturday. Didn't wave as we were in the jeep (and too busy checking out the Airstream as we went past)

Looks to me like a seed measuring gear out of an old combine harrow! What it is doing there, is another matter.

165213 Sign on the front of the building looks like it reads Folk Art Bakery so guessing the S1 is some sort of art.
