ABS question

Hi guys, been a while, Had MR Automotive do a tune up on my truck and is running better than ever....time to check a few more issues. I have no lights or warnings on dash but under hard breaking I get locking wheels and no shudder so am wondering if abs is working at all...any ideas how it might fail with no lights...they come on at ignition so not the globes. 1996 p38.

When you refer to hard braking are you referring to an emergency stop? Also is this on bitumen or dirt?

Hi Gary, yeah mate on bitumen hitting the brakes as in emergency stop.After writing this response i changed a few relays around, number 17 i had an old spare which i swapped, took the car for a drive and now abs is working, can feel it through pedal and no lock ups...thanks for interest anyway. I will be asking a few more questions in time.
