Suspension Fault Warning

I'm getting this warning when I raise the suspension above normal height when using the OEM switch or Llams, resets when returning to normal. If I ignore I can still raise progressively using OEM then Llams to max. No leaks detected. I also have the GOE Air-up kit installed. I'm currently travelling in the Kimberley's. Vehicle seems to be OK at raised night and drives fine. Any ideas?

I had the warning light with my D3 (also have a Llams fitted) and it was the compressor on its way out. Replaced with the new more reliable D4 compressor and it has been good ever since. A possibility but hopefully it's something simpler in your case.

Had a similar problem in my D3 2 years ago. Started at the Geikie turnoff and finally fixed by LR in Cairns. Turned out to be a leaking front cross-over valve (behind the guard in front of the FR wheel). Found this after removing the GOE air-up to eliminate that for LR, then replacing the compressor and then the front left strut!! It was hit and miss trouble shooting.

Oh forgot - it was SWMBO who identified the eventual root cause and solution by using the Google Blaster whist sitting in the Daintree! Most embarrassing ha ha.:cool:

Hi Boggs,
Firstly don't stress to much about this, it's most likely not a show stopper. I've had the same thing several times for several reasons. Both those already listed, plus faulty ride height sensor which can be very annoying as it starts intermittently then progressively gets worse. The computer will tell you it's the compressor when it gets slow enough and you still have awhile after that before it dies altogether. Most of these I've had in remote areas and have always managed to get through to a service and fault find, usually with the aid of the autologic etc.

I also have this suspension fault on my D4 after a recent trip to border track, the fault code was all cleared by the dealer. However, I had this suspension fault come up again. Only thing had done since was rotation of front tyre, balanced and I also used access height, forgot to switch back to normal before I leave. Would it cause the suspension fault?

If you drive in access height the car will automatically raise to normal height when you exceed a predetermined speed which is around 10kph - sorry I can't remember the exact speed. That should not be the reason for the suspension fault.
