Just bought a Perentie, I'm still trying to work out Why?

Hi, I was wondering if someone may be able give some guidance. Yes I've done the dumb thing and bought a Perentie sight unseen for greys online in Minto. It comes with a blue slip.
I'm going start making enquiries tomorrow with both Qld and NSW dept of transport about a getting it registered in Qld. I know there a differences between a NSW registration requirement and Qld, but not the specifics. Can anyone fill me in on them. I was looking to drive it back to Brisbane over the following week.
I hope to be in Sydney by evening of the 24th to march in remberance of my uncle who served on the RAN destroyer Hobart during the Veitnam War. While in Sydney I'd love to catch with some of the Land Rover owners out of interest sake. If anyone is available to talk my phone number is 0407 690 123.

We recently bought a NSW car back to QLD, and got it rego'd here in QLD. Seems that the road worthy is more strict here in QLD, the car had been road worthied (or whatever southerners call it) in NSW before leaving, but when it got here there was a list of things that required repairs/fixing. And no nothing untoward happened to the car on the way up!

I can't comment on the "ex-mil" stuff, but as for general road worthyness then QLD seems to be more thorough.
