First Trip

Took R2D2 for it's first trip, had clocked up 500K's since it's "tidy up" and registration all with the wife driving around town. Filled up 12l/100K's, happy with that. Put the new top radiator hose on and fuel cooler O-ring in, topped up the coolant and off to Adelaide and back. Filled up before coming home, 411Km, 42l, just over 10l/100K's mostly at 110Kmh. Happy with that. Noisy around 90-100 but settles down quietly at 110. Keeps up with city traffic, and passes on the highway surprisingly well, would leave my 3l Patrol for dead. After a visit to Ikea and Costco it was chockers (lucky i'm good at Tetris) an extra passenger and luggage headed home, didn't notice the extra weight.Only sat on 95 coming home, too many roo's!! Overall very impressed with a 16yr old car with 195,00km on it. The 2yr old 30,000Km Patrol has a lot left to answer for.
So far a very happy Discovery owner!:)

Sold my D2 (manual) at 15 years and 195,000 km and it was (and still is) running a treat. Auto and EAS were the only reasons to change it over.
