Just thinking. Has anyone heard of fitting a later 6 speed gearbox into a RRC. Would it be possible???

Why ? - Its a package that is not worth upgrading.. when compared to a well-sorted P38, IMHO
:twisted::eek::twisted:
Would that be Over-capitalisation ??? :wasntme:

Sure if you have deep pockets anything is possible , half the work is done because they are already adapted to an lt230 .
You just need to sort out a suitable bellhousing and clutch setup.

Isn't 'overcapitalisation' on an RRC changing the oil... :angel::wasntme:

As mentioned, I'm sure it's possible if you have the will and the dollars. :)
If you can check both those boxes, then go for it, do what you want to your vehicle.

... so is putting enough petrol in it to get home...
- even if it's into the BRAND NEW petrol tank that LRA has fitted to your 20-year old car...
- Under Warranty / Recall...:p

6 speed in the hybrid. Now, there's a thought.
Which gearbox are you thinking of?
Yes, I know it's overcapitalisation on a massive scale.

So, is it bolt in or are adapters needed?

A v8 bellhousing is required and an lt230 transfer.

Are we talking about the manual 6 speed as fitted to Pumas?
they should be ok behind a standard-mild 3.9, but I'd maybe have concerns about higher rpm torque figures if dropped behind a worked 4.6?

Also fitted to D3 with TDV6 so i would assume it to be a beefed up version, it was also fitted to the Mustang from 2011.
