hello there question for you all, i have a 288 watt light bar and a smaller 120 watt bar
the 288 watt bar only draws 79 watts 7 amps and my 120 watt draws 55 watts at 4.9 amps
, I did a test with 100 watt halogen and it draws 92 watts so my watt meter is correct,
anyone know why this is , thx Pete

I would guess that the "288" and "120" are simply indications of how much power would be needed by a halogen light to give the same light.

Yeah thats sounds reasonable, how many people have calculated there power drain using the indicated wattage , I'm a electrical fitter by trade , maybe they should advertise actual watts used and lumens , anyway thx for your insite.

It is probably because most light manufacturers and resellers either don't know what they are on about, or tell blatant lies.
