G'day everyone
I haven't been on here for almost 6 years (!) and had to make a new username as I couldn't remember my email address I used to sign up!
Anyway, I've now bought another '87 which needs some bits so I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.
I need a fuel pump, drivers door upper hinge and some idiot lights aren't working in the binnacle and in the auxiliary switch panel too.
I also need the rear passenger (drivers side) door handle as the PO said it was dicky and it's taped up haha
Tacho doesn't work, it bounces around when starting but that's it.
Turn signals are intermittent but I've not had time to check that out.
Driving lamps (which are still in one piece!) don't work but I can always remove the front spoiler to get a RWC.
Can't get it in LO range, but I've not really tried that out yet as I only picked her up yesterday.
There was a member on here (bacicat200) who had a nice RRC, don't know if he's still around because I lost touch with him.
There was another member in Sunbury too but again I can't remember the user name
Thanks for reading :) Is good to be back in a REAL car!
Cheers
Dave

Have ordered a new pump assembly from a 4wd place listing on eBay so that will be one job over... at least I can get it replaced in about 10 minutes now that I'm used to it :)
I also forgot to mention that there is a plastic thingie at he back of the fuel rail on the drivers side with a vac line going to it which is in several pieces but it isn't wired up - what is that for? I'm going to plug up the vac line with a bolt and see how she goes.
Cheers

Bacicat's new username on the forum is Homestar. We've tried getting rid of him but he won't go away! :D

Found your old username. I've sent you a PM for confirmation. If you want to re-use it, I can fix that up and get this thread under your old name

I'll see what I can do :)
I've got low ratio working now, which is nice.
I also fixed the problem with the rear taillights which were really dim, turns out the PO put 24v bulbs in her hahaha.
Still need front drivers upper door hinge, rear drivers side passenger door handle (maybe), indicator relay, struts for the back tailgate.
Cheers

Took her in to get a RWC yesterday, only 3 minor things to do now plus new discs needed all round and that's it. I'm pretty pleased that's all it needed :)
Now to save more pennies to give to VicRoads haha

Seen a few references to Corowa what event is that? I could only find reference to a swim in and military vehicles meet.

Yep, that's the one. :). One of my favorite events of the year. Check it out - Corowa Swim In (http://www.corowaswim-in.org)
And the thread I ran while there this year (heaps of pics :))- http://www.aulro.com/afvb/multi-state-reports/233345-live-corowa-swim-2016-a.html

Yaaay, she passed her RWC this afternoon! Damn, those discs are a bugger to do lol
Luckily I know people at Pedders and they did it for me at cost price with no labour :)
Off to VicRoads on Tuesday arvo to get her back on the road. *Happy Dance*

Thanks Grumbles... she is my daily driver now since I sold my ute, luckily I live about 7 minutes drive away from work :)
Hi Gav... yes it is the same colour (Caspian Blue) as the last one I had.
Meant to ask- the rear coils have aftermarket airbags in them- does anyone know what pressure should they be at?
There is a seperate Schrader valve for each one.
Cheers

The airbags were probably fitted when the load leveller died. Just put enough air in them to keep the car level - when you load the back up more, stick more air in to keep it level and vice versa.
If it sits level with little or no air then that's fine.

As Gav has said, load leveler not happy anymore. I had a '90 which I used for work and when carrying loads I put about 10 psi in the bags, when empty about 4 to 6 as apparently they need some air to help stop excess chafing. I put the valves by the fuel filler to help keep them clean and away from damage.

Thanks for the pressure info... the guy who had her for years (not the one I bought her from) used her to tow a boat so I suspect they were fitted for that purpose.
It has 2 round trailer plugs at the back and 1 rectangular one (which I think has 20 pins?) but I haven't got around to looking at them yet... She also has an electric brake controller fitted, which I will probably never use!
Cheers
Dave
