Gday everyone;
Could you recommend the best rear ladder to fit to my 110?
I just had a new Rhino rack fitted and was wondering if there is a preferred ladder or they are all the same.
My knees are buggered so the most user friendly is preferred.
Thank.
Ken

I'm looking at the ones on the APT site myself, but haven't decided yet.

Gday Mick.
Thanks for the lead, but when I go to their site, I can't find any mention of a ladder.
I ideally need one that is continuous from the gutter to the chassis. Easier for my buggered knees to climb.
Best wishes mate.

You may have trouble buying a full length one, as they will obscure the number plate.
My one goes from the gutter to just above the number plate, and then has a separate step at chassis height. I think mine came from Mulgo.

I put my license plate down on the bumper using some of the existing holes.
If you wanted a longer ladder you could do the same.

Someone else told me that he sometimes snags his shirt on the license plate when it's positioned in that upper spot - if you have a similar issue it might help sway you.

I have exactly the same - from Graeme Cooper in NSW. Perfect. I have one of the old style grab handles on the rear cross member to serve as the first step.

Thanks for the great tips fellas.
I'm just about to have bilateral total knee replacements (at 53) so would preference a full length ladder as its a big step for me to the half ladders shown. Relocating the rego plate sounds the thing to do.
Wonder where in Oz an alloy full length ladder could be sourced?
Best wishes all.

Hi Ken , I've been thinking the same thing . I also have a roof rack . At the moment I climb of the tow ball then onto the spare . It's not to bad going up ! Coming down is more difficult .Not much to grab hold of . I thinking of the half ladder , and bottom step . Let us know how you go finding what you wont !!.. Jim :)

Thanks El Ray and Jim.

Best wishes fellers.

Sorry, it was The Expedition Centre I was looking at, but they're only half ladders and you want a full length.
These might be worth a look:
