Hello, The car used to triple flash the indicators when it was locked. I've fiddled with the settings using a Nanocom to get all doors unlocked on one click. I did this ages ago. Now when the car locks I get one brief flash of the indicators.

Thanks

Julian

It's a setting in BCU, in "Alarm/other - Hazard option" , set to "ALL"

I've tried that, several times, I get cannot communicate with ecu, or no data to write and on the odd occasion it is "writing" the green bar on the second "writing" only goes about 90% of the way.
Any ideas any one?

Thanks

Julian

I dont undertsand what you are doing there, my nanocom is not upgraded to the latest firmware but i've never seen such thing, try with engine running or with a charger connected

I will give it a go with the engine running, that will be tomorrow.

I had another go, with the engine running,
I went to BCU- Alarm other and tabbed to Hazard.
with "DISABLED", no flash, with "FITTED", no flash, with 'ALL', single flash.
Writing to the BCU worked all three times.

There is always tomorrow :-)

On "fitted" setting the hazards would flash only when the alarm is triggered, maybe you confused the D2 with another car cos it's not supposed to do triple flash what so ever only single flash on lock/unlock command...that's how mine does as well

Well if it doesn't triple flash... At least I got more confident using the Nanocom.

Thanks

Mine gives 3 quick flashes when using fob to lock and 1 slow flash when unlocking. I have a Nanocom but have not fiddled with any locking options so I guess it is as factory supplied. It is a 2004 model by the way.
Maybe I should hook up the Nanocom to see what the settings are.

2003 TD5. Almost definite mine flashes three times when locking and once when unlocking.

That's what I want, so the OCD part of me knows the car is locked.

Mine flashes three times now on my 01, with my Hawkeye I used "Restore Factory Settings" in the security section of the BCU

Now i have something to think about and it's a hard one... mine flashes only once but just checked the owner's manual and according to it it should flash 3 times on lock command   ...so Julian sorry for that statement of mine that it's ok by flashing only once :( ...i'll make some investigation on this and report when i have the answer

Make a test to see if the misslock warning is really working or not, leave one door opened and lock with fob, you should get a short horn sound if the misslock warning is enabled, if no sound it means that there might be a misslock somewhere which you dont know about and in this case the hazards will flash only once not 3 times.... that was on mine, it seems that nanocom altered that setting on mine and i had an unworned misslock at the bonnet, after fixing this i have the triple flash on lock command again.

If your misslock warning is active and no misslock but still no triple flash then it's really odd

Yes I get a short horn beep with one door open. It is really odd.
