FUEL PUMP AGAIN

Dropped the defender off this afternoon for a new head gasket ,stopped for fuel on way home and rangie wouldn't start! Secondary fuel pump I replaced in January not running ,and very hot .Tapped it and checked fuses ,no go. Finally fired up and all good. Supplier will get a call tomorrow.:mad:

Now thats a pain! :( Its hardly had time to run in! (well, almost) Those chinamen seem to be copping a bit down your way, :D

I had similar issues over a year ago now, replaced with aftermarket and a few months later, same problem!

First of all, change the fuel filter, this will put undue stress on the pump.

Second, I replaced my replacement pump with a generic Bosh 404 (or whatever the VL commodore ones use to use), some slight mods to the hose in (added a screen) and the wiring and bobs my uncle, no issues since and runs a lot quieter.

Yeah ,getting more than my fair share of bad luck all round.
