Hi All,

Picked up a pair of cheap Land Rover roof bars and ski/snow board carrier that I thought would fit my Rangie (2004). The roof bars have the part number VUB502790 on them which Mr Google says should be for an L322. When I offer them up to the roof they are too wide ? They are not adjustable so now I'm confused.

Anybody got any ideas .....could they be for a RR sport ?

This site has them listed for the Sport.
Range Rover Sports Bars - VUB502790 (http://www.shop4landrover.co.uk/product/Sports_Bars_VUB502790)

That link goes to the roof bars but it's under the Range Rover section. If I look under Range Rover Sports it has a different part number.

Perhaps I need to go and find a Range Rover sport and measure the distance between the fixing points.....or might ask on the RR sport page

Ahh, I see it is a "sports bar" for the RR.
I wouldn't have thought though that the sport (L320) would have a wider roof than the L322?

Darren you'll find that the front, middle and rear bars for the L322 are slightly different lengths, shorter at the rear. That's what caught me out.

Better get a ladder out and recheck across the 3 attachment points. I would have sworn they were parallel front to back

Definitely not as I found when I fitted the Rhino Pioneer Platform. See here: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/l322-range-rover/211448-l322-roof-tray.html#post2509752

Ok I'll accept the **** Head award for tonight.

Not only do they fit but, each one has on the part sticker where it goes.
So wasn't a waste of money after all. Next to work out how to fabricate platform of box to carry spare wheel.
