I had a drive of a Disco 1 today and I don`t know if it had standard suspension or not but ot was really rough riding in comparison to my air suspended Range Rover.
I shall have to try some others out.

And just why were you riding around in Disco Ron?
Is this to be a replacement for the P38A 8O or the County
You will find the ride firm if any of the shocks/springs have been replaced to cater for heavier loads, unfortunately us poor  people with normal suspensions setups dont have the advantage to adjust to suit each condition like the air suspension systems.
The other thing is if the suspension is original and sagged you will not have the same shock response and more bump stop feel through the suspension as it will be in contact more often, especially at the front.

I was picking a Disco up for a customer of KLR Automotive. The customer wanted to pick it up from KLR today (Monday) but, being the long weekend, KLR are closed. So KLR asked if I'd take it home for the owner to pick it up from me.
I'll ask the owner when they arrive if it has standard suspension.

I found the initial movement much harsher with the nitrochargers,
could be what they call "sticksion[?]"
was wonderfully soft with oils 8)
but a certain lack of control was evident,,
no such troubles now style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

I have found mine quite good with the Nitrochargers, they have only been in a week today, but worked well over the weekend. Its a harsher ride than you Rangie, after riding with you today Ron, but you would be worried if a vehicle that was twice the price didnt ride better. Matt

ACE your disco is luxury compared to mine. Its much softer and you can hear the rear pasengers properly.
