Ok, Just had a major service done including both front and rear belts.
Drove about 15klm after picking up the vehicle and whilst stopped at lights the engine just stopped. plenty off oil, coolant etc. no leaks under vehicle or smell's. removed oil cap engine turns over fine and camshaft is turning.
so could it be the new the fuel pump belt has failed?

When I did mine , the fp belt tensioner did not release and tension the belt when the release pin was pulled , so had to get a new tensioner which activated ok when pin pulled .
One good thing if this belt goes there is no problems coursed to the eng .

workshop has pulled off all cover and checked all there work and reported to have found nothing wrong. so they are now at a loss. only fault code was the crank angle sensor and they have checked it out to be OK ;)

Check the serial number of the pump it may have been in the recall

It's a 2005 so from what I can work out it not covered under the recall :(
What a way to have my Green Ovel cherry popped.
2K for the 160000 K service and now another 2K for a HPFP. Oh well it's only money:censored:
