Hi. Over the past few days I have been posting on the AULRO Facebook page (its much easier to post photos). I don't want to feel like all I am doing is asking questions all the time. I prefer to do landy work myself and have worked on most of all the cars I have ever owned. I am hoping someone can help me here.

My question is, after pulling the turbo heat shield off to replace the oil cooler hose, I continued to look around and check out the rest of the engine bay. I quickly found that when I took off the induction turbo hose, the 90*rubber bend was split. It was actually taped up by someone and the clamps covered it up. I was very lucky the turbo didn't blow as i found that the tape on the inside was fraying and a small section had actually disappeared (most likely went into the turbo...). Apparently the 90* rubber bend comes together and I can only buy it with the rest of the plastic piping.

Q1. Does anyone know where I can buy this rubber pipe part without buying the entire thing? Either new or second hand?

Q.2 :) I checked the turbo pipes and found a small amount of oil sitting in the bottom. I know there is turbo mist, but does this amount look ok or would this indicate that there is or will be an issue?

Thanks

Scotty

That oil sitting there could just be a faulty pcv. This combined with egr is what fouls up intakes.
