A month or so ago the clutch started to creak when lifting my foot off (engaging the clutch) when the car is hot. It's a kind of clicky creak where I can feel that there is a slight point of resistance on the way up (a sensation like it's getting briefly hung up on something), nothing strong enough to cause it to stick or affect the functionality; still perfectly driveable, but I don't want it to develop further, and it just doesn't feel nice.
The way down is fine, there's no slippage, and it's not any stiffer than usual. I thought it might be the linkage but after a dousing of inox it was still there, so when it was hot I got a mate to start pumping as I had a listen around the place. Definitely coming from the clutch assembly itself. And this is where my expertise ends.....
Any suggestions?
