Help to identify connection

I am new to this forum having just purchased a 2002 Discovery 2 V8.
There is a connection on the right side of the motor which looks like it connects to something but I have no idea what? There is a pipe from the connector heading down towards the transmission. I hope someone can help identify the connection and what it connects to. Attached is a photo of the connector.

It isn't connected to anything it is for something that we don't have in our Aust market, can't recall what exactly at this moment, Just make sure it is tied back up out of the way of the exhaust manifold.

Yes as said before , its the Secondary Air injection pipe, used on US models .
