Having lived over that way (Saudi Arabia) I can vouch for the fact that those Arabs are crazy buggers when it comes to driving :!:
I don;t know whether its part of their fatalistic religion (i.e. If someone dies, iot;s only because Allah wills it). It sems they think that it doesn;t matter what you do, you'll die when the time is right.
Anyway, that's how they drive.
Things I have actually seen and/or read about in local newspapers while living there.
 Transam cross 3 lanes of oncoming traffic specifically to run over a cat. He lived, the cat didn't.
 There was an unwritten rule that whoever flashed their lights first, had right of way. Irrelevant was which side of the centre line you were on.
 Vehicles were rarely defected for having non-standard engines, suspension, etc; but were often put off the road for broken power windows, or cosmetic blemishes in the paintwork. :?
 They used to leave the car wrecks by the side of the road - for months presumably as a 'warning' to other drivers.
 Remember that pic that Incisor used to have as an avatar with the donkey loaded up with a huge volume of sticks ? Well they used to do that to Hiluxes. (their favourite vehicle it would seem).
 8 year old arrested for driving his Mum and brother and sisters into town, in Dad's Mercedes.
 Trucks used to be covered in more decorative multi-coloured lights than a Christams tree (my theory is that they needed to do this on account of the lack of Christmas). You could destroy your night vision by looking at one.
 You'd often see Hiluxes cruising the streets with camels in the back. and those camels are temperamental buggers, fond of urinating on things behind them.
 Often, when building new roadwaorks they might be halfway through building a fly-over. That is they might have not gotten around to building the part where you can safely drive from mid-air back to the ground. If you were lucky they had a sign and a couple of witches hats to warn you. They never had barriers. If you were unlucky, you found out the hard way.
 They'd tear around the sand dunes in their V8 Land Cruisers seemingly ingorant of, or uncaring about, terms such as "rollover angle", "cross slope" and "collision".
ohh, and
 women weren't allowed to drive. It would be truly laughable if it were for 'safety' reasons. It wasn't.

It really demonstrates how easy it is to roll a 4x4. There's another one around of a Patrol getting up on two wheels at low speed, and all it takes is a couple of swerves. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif
