2012 D4 SDV6 HSE. Attached a trailer with LED lights to my car to see what would happen. As expected, trailer lights work but Lenny Landrover doesn't acknowledge trailer connected so no trailer icon on dash and rear beepers continuously sounding. No big deal simply switched off beepers.

Noting one of the threads here, I used GAP tool to switch trailer switch CCF from undefined to on. (Or whatever it said) sure enough made no difference to beeping etc.

Above is background info only, I know how to fix trailer connection and will get a round tuit. I then did a fault code check and found no problems.

Since I changed setting and car went through its resetting of CCF's etc. The rear passenger door which has never been able to be opened from outside is now working properly. That's the good news. :) The bad news is my voltage display which appeared on speedo dial has now disappeared. :( Nothing I do is able to get it back. I have looked in GAP tool for some sort of control but can find nothing. Looked in Workshop and owners manual and can find nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the voltage display back.

Thanks
Pete

Pete, do you keep your iiD Tool plugged in all the time?

I ask because I only get a voltage display on the dash when the iiD is plugged in. It's not normally there from factory but note that mine is not HSE & is MY14, so not identical to yours.

^ +1.
Mines an MY12 TDV6.
Only get the voltage on speedo screen when the IID tool is plugged in.

Thanks fellas, I just hooked it all up and sure enough voltage is back. I forgot it was attached and when I fiddled with trailer setting I removed IId that's obviously when the display disappeared.

No idea Scott. Since I first purchased car, rear passenger would not unlock with fob or when unlocked from inside when exiting vehicle. It locked ok but needed to be unlocked from inside. I had attached IID on several occasions and cleared fault B110B-15. "Rear passenge door central locking motor circuit short circuit to power or open circuit" this meant nothing to me and as rear seats not often used I never bothered about it. I cleared code but sure enough it always returned. This time after actually changing trailer assist mode it has stayed clear and now operates...go figure.

Your rear door actuator is on the way out, the problem will re-appear. I've had the same problem on my previous D3 and now on my D4. On the D4 it went away for a while but is now occurring again.
