I don't want to sound terminally geeky, but I've developed a sudden interest in metal detectors.
I've recently bought this bid chunk of land out by Hill End. It's all trees, so not much good for anything but growing more trees.
But it's in the right area for gold, and I can pretty much guarantee that no one has been looking for gold up there in the last thirty years, give or take.
One fella apparently went up there with metal detector, but that was 1980 or so and I'm pretty sure technology has changed since then.
I did a bit of reading, and a little looking around and they're damned expensive.
And I know nothing about where to look.
Anyone know about this stuff or have something fancy or mildly specialised they can rent out for a few days? I'm thinking Minelabs rather than Tandy.
