Hi folks, before I ship my car off to the mechanic, does anyone want to hazard a guess to what is making this noise:

It was severe enough to warrant a piggy back on a tilt tray until a proper diagnose can be made.

Notes:
2011, Defender 130 2.4 tdci
ODO 85,500 km - full service inc fuel filter replaced @78,000km
Oil and cooling system OK
Last tank of fuel was run down to 10lt remaining
No engine faults reported
Made noise twice recently when cold then went away
Noise came back with vengeance on freeway after 30 mins of running.
Noise matches engine speed.
Noise appears to be at the top and back of engine.

Side note, which mechanic would I be best taking this along to. I'm in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
