I saw an interesting swhow on SBS about the French guy actually behind this "theory" (it's discredited opf course but no conspiracy theorist will beleive anyone about THAT  )

He's promoted many conspiracies in his time and has made a FORTUNE selling a book based on this one - the whole internet video campaign was basically a big PR excercise to sell his book. He's richer now.

he had an idea and took a chance and it paid off.......
its all the people that bought the book that made him rich......</span>

I disagree.

He doesn't deserve it.

No-one should portray fiction as fact.

The blurring of this line is a big societal probal and one which is particularly utilised in politics. How are people supposed to make important decisions if the "facts" they are basing those decisions on, aren't.

It's also a sad affliction amongst the media today, to print rubbish that serves a particular objective (witness 'embedded' reporters in Iraq, or the disproportinate attention paid to the ant-4wd brigade by "current affairs" shows) rather than offering an unbiased reporting of the facts, thus allowing people to make up their own minds.

So there.

Now, where do I put this soap-box ?
