Hi p38arover, I’m with harry on that one. Give us some advanced warning, and we can all arrange to be out of town when you are here.
No, let us know what your plans are and we will try to work in with you. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

OK, chaps. I get there too late for a meeting but will let you know when I arrive. We'll be staying at Legends Hotel, Cnr Gold Coast H/way & Laycock St, Surfers Paradise.
There's plenty of time - we don't arrive until 12th Dec - assuming my leave is approved. I've booked airline and hotel and paid for them so I hope the leave is approved.

Hi Ron
As Harry said, maybe we can get you along to one of our outings or i'm sure there will be a few of us up for a trip with you, show you around some of the tracks close by. Have you been to the Goldie or any of the tracks before?
Aye, Mick

I haven't been to the GC since the early Sixties. Wait, I lie. I went through there in 1968 but didn't stop.
I haven't travelled that part of the Pacific Hwy since then. In fact, I hadn't travelled the Pacific Hwy any further north than Newcastle from then until 2 years ago when I bought a house in Coffs Harbour.

But I thought we agreed that I can't collect a sticker from a town if I go to one of those places. See http://www.aulro.com/modules.php?name=Foru...iewtopic&t=7521 (http://www.aulro.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7521)

As you are flying in, you will be missing the best road between Sydney and Brisbane.
The highway from just south of Murwillumbah ( which you no longer go through ) to Nerang is all dual carriageway and just north of Nerang, the M1 begins and trust me, there are no roads in NSW to equal the M1.
But we will try and show you some of the sites, on and off road.
How long are you here for and do you have any plans.
Cheers

I'm only there for a week so I don't expect to to any 4WDing but only to perhaps meet a couple of you blokes for wine or three.
I didn't get around to meeting anyone when I went to Melbourne in May so this time I'll do better.
Besides, I'll need a break from the missus.

Yeah I just wish they'd make up their mid whether it's an Eagle or a Hawk.
Or is it a blend like between a Cabernet and a Sauvignon ?
And if so, have the birds been whirred together in a food processor,
or did they just "Get It On" !?
Perhaps I'm overthinking this.

Vlad, have another drink and think of Landies instead. I can see you're overtaxing yourself.

Just over a week until we fly up to the Gold Coast and Elisabeth now has her right leg in plaster (or, more accurately, in fibreglass) so she can't walk very well.
Bugger!
Hopefully, I can hire a wheel chair up there and not have to take one with me.
