Land Rover Roof Rack Key Replacement

So I went to move my roof racks the other day to put some gear up and ran into a snag. I have no key, car didn't come with one. So before i spend more than the racks are worth getting a locksmith out like Land Rover Service just told me to, I was wondering if anybody has managed to find someone with the same key as theirs to copy... I was told there's around 60 variants. I'm hoping there's more like 6... Or any other tricks.

Russ, go to Thule Australia ? Products ? Roof Racks ? Thule Replacement Key N001 to N200 (http://www.thule.com.au/details.php?p_id=417) And quote that N number.

Dave thanks will keep that in mind. I was fitting Thule bike racks on top and noticed the keys looked very similar. If only I had known I could have ordered the bike racks with the same key number. Cheers Craig

Hi Russ, I had the same racks with the same problem . I drove down to a locksmith they matched a key to fit and cut me 2. It was $28 and took about 15mins.
