Hi Folks,
TDV8 2007.
Where is the front eas valve block located?
From RAVE, it looks like near side in front between the bumper and wheel arch. For some reason I am unable to post the lay out from RAVE.
Thanks, Jerry

Can't help on yours. On mine it appears to be attached to the air reservoir.

MY06+ its located at the front right. My MY12's looks to be between the guard liner and the firewall although I haven't had a good look down there to be sure. The parts catalogue suggests it might be inboard from the right strut.

Thanks for the replies.
I take it you have to remove the inner wheel arch cover if you want to get at it?

Depends on exactly where it is. If low on the firewall where something is mounted on mine then yes. I fitted front mud-flaps but can't positively recall if the valve block was there - I can't even recall if the inner guard was only pulled away at the rear or was removed totally. That task took much longer than suggested by the instructions because of changes to later models that complicated the install.

Graeme,
Looking through a differing section of RAVE, it states clearly where it is and you are correct. Front right side on the firewall by the looks of things.
I too have side runners so complicates things!
Just for the record, the rear one is on the same side behind the wheel arch cover.
Thanks again

The parts diagram isn't a workshop manual so it can be unclear where parts are located. I had spotted the rear one somewhere up high behind the right rear wheel in the diagram.
The inner liner wasn't meant to be removed to fit the mud-flaps but my MY12's lower mudguard (plastic) panel doesn't just un-clip from the top as it has a bolt behind each end, hence the need to at least partly remove the liner to access the front bolt.

It's time to investigate mine's front valve block, which appears able to be dismantled whereas the D4 ones aren't.
The morning after finding a small rat in the engine bay after a morning PO run the nose was on the bump-stops. It's happened each day since except for 1 and dropped again overnight whilst the 20A suspension fuse was removed. I had wondered if the rat had poked a hole in an air-line but now suspect the valve block although at least 2 of the 3 valves would have to be leaking to allow pressure to escape back into the supply line. Tomorrow the vehicle will go through several height changes which might clean-up the valve seats although restoring normal height each morning pumps air through the valves.
