Something special or just an old car?

Hi,
I am not sure where the correct section would be to post this, so apologies if I'm in the wrong section?


I am a brand new member who joined because I have found an old Land Rover on a property I have recently purchased and was wondering if it has any value to enthusiasts?
It is in pretty rough condition, but from looking at the plate it is a '88 Series IIA with Serial #8813450.


I can post more photos and there are other numbers on the plate as well if that would help?

It looks like a 2a shorty in need of a lot of love and TLC. If the chassis is not rusted out completely, there's no reason you couldn't get it back on the road if you were so inclined. :)

It is a reasonably common Series 2a Land Rover. However it may be special to someone :) If you don't want it try selling it in the Markets :) You may have some luck.

looks alright. Stick a battery and some fresh fuel in it and it will probably fire up.

Nice find. If it weren't a Landy it would most likely just be an old car. But not only is it something special, its a beautiful object in its own right. ...ok if you really want to you could restore it and get it going. ...but whatever you do, don't polish it!
