Got a 99 D2 V8 with std cloth seats
After suggestions from members re easy replacement to better seats that wife might find more comfortable
Wife has had disc problems so would be great if could find a solution that means we can drive longer and see family etc
I presume electric/leather seats from a wreck would be an improvement
Comments from users re difference and where to source seats/ which seats best welcome

Definitely mate. Go a set of SE or HSE (top of the line later models were HSE) full electronic leather seats. Awesome seats. Lots of adjustment and electric pump operated drivers lumbar bellows. You will need the centre console switch gear with them (console has switch gear). Cheers

OK now just need to find someone wrecking a ES or HSE so can get seats and the loom/switch bits needed for the conversion

And a Nanacom or similar to turn electric seats to ON. Cheers. Mine was simple to do. Cheers

Anyone know is the rear seat designed any better than the earlier seats as they earlier ones rattle on the hinge section when out in the bush.

Yes they say to use some offset washers and turn them around to take up the slack. What they call off centric. Never really worked for mine, just thought maybe the newer models might have had better designed seats in them.
