It's the ''Austin Healey Club Rally'' on the 3rd July at Scarborough beach front, cars will be arriving at about 9.30 - 10 am.
Weather permitting there should be a good turn out of cars again.
I'll be taking this one :burnrubber:

Beautiful cars they are. We see a few down here in Melb and I was talking to a fellow who'd just finished building his, he came in through the gates, went over a speed bump and damaged the rear panel underneath.
Took it in his stride.

A thoroughly enjoyable day with a great number of cars turning up, glad you enjoyed it numpty :)
Did you notice that rather nice blue bug eye sprite with over 250hp at the wheels ?? It hasn't been overtaken on a circuit in 4 years !!

I shudder to think what has been spent on that Bug Eye :o
The widened 3000 was an interesting car too.

Did the widened 3000 have a Rolls Royce motor in it Numpty? I think it was known as an Austin Healey 4000. I saw one in the flesh about 35 years ago.
Cheers,
Mick.

So the Austin 3 litre motor Jerry? From my quick research on the internet, there was three of the 4 litre Rolls powered 6' widened big Healys built as prototypes. What might have been. The story goes that BMC didn't want a direct competitor to the E-type.
Cheers, Mick.

Yes the RR FB60 4litre from the Vlanden Plas Princess R as well as its' rear axle which necessitated the 6" fillet in the chassis.
