Yes really it does. I was doing 110km/h and the truck I imagine was doing similar and the rocks were 3/4 golf ball sized rocks. It is two stars, but the front is shattered with bits of glass falling out, the hole in the glass is too big to do a repair.

O'brien supplied an OEM Pilkington rear side window with antenna for my D2 when the caravan Park manager broke mine with a rock from his Whippersnipper.
Usually Cheapness has to do with not being OEM supplied! LOL.

Wouldn't OEM glass have to come from Land Rover or the supplier in the UK ?
There is a lot of misuse of the term OEM so be careful.

That was the point of my post.
Pilkington is Land Rover's supplier and O'brien obviously has access to Pilkington product, In my case anyway.

I'd be surprised if O'Brien import the glass, wouldn't have thought the demand was there. Maybe they have a deal with LR Australia.
Being flat glass it doesn't need a mould so maybe sourced locally but Pilkington have left Australia (I think). Dandenong site became Viridian, Geelong sold off and now MHG Glass.

I just replaced mine via OBrien in Innisfail.
Nil cost as its included in my insurance policy with Shannons. One per year.
Quality is indistinguishable from OEM.
Only took a few days for the glass to arrive, and they fitted it at my property.
Great. Sorry I don't know the price.

Thanks for that. Obrians with 30 buck more expensive than the cheapest quote for non genuine glass, but if it is so good I might go that way. Is the glass tinted or clear, does it have a tinted bit at the top at the sun visor (I hate that).
Cheers

Hi Chris.
No, no tint or shading along the top. I'm very pleased with it, and I'm sure your local place can source from Cairns quickly.

No they dont have tint at the top, anyone that tells you this is ordering in a Discovery windscreen. Had one company do it to me twice.
