Presented by Jeremy Clarkson, an excellent telling of the disaster. I have some connection to the area, as we exercised with the RN & RAF in exercise Highwood in 1977, reaching latitude 64, 150 miles from the Arctic circle , after the Queens Jubilee review.

I have the paper back book written by the corvette captain. I have read this about 10 times and still pick up something new. What a mess

One of the indications that the merchant marine was not set up for war , was that when the ship was sunk, their pay was stopped. That is the way it still is, afaik, Not so much the ship being sunk, but if you are between ships, you are not working , therefore you don't get paid.
