Morning All
We all met up at HJ's at Mudgeeraba at 7.30 (ish), had a bit of breakfast and headed off down the highway with 2 TD5'S Disco's, 3 Fenders, Shepp's 109 and a 4 letter word (Jeep;))met up with Harry and Chrissie on the way in HJM. Tonic got sussed out (tailgated) by the NSW Stormtroopers on the Ballina by-pass but they didn't pull him over. after airing down near the ferry and The Grimace clan checking in at the Caravan park, we cruised onto the beach to find the on ramp blocked by a bogged ve-hicle. Someone pulled him out and we cruised onto the beach, drove down to the coffee rocks to find them impassable. We did another run up the beach and stopped half way where we set up. Shepp, the boys and Tonic went fishing, Shepp landing a fair Bream before returning it to the water. Grimace collected a shed load of Pippies to cook up later in the day. Whilst we were eating lunch, we had a show of whales, one breaching about 5-700 mtrs off shore and another one chasing some fish only 200 mtrs out. There were also a pod of dolphins surfing the waves right in front of us as well. It was a cracking day, next to no wind and when the fishing was over, a game of soccer started. TMF (Total Memory Failure) has set in as I cant remember who one, but I think it was a close game. Harry and Chrissie took off a bit early as someone hadn't voted and we left at about 2 ish with Tonic and Shepp. It was a great day and thanks to Grimace for running the trip, it's a stunning part of the world and I don't think we have ever seem it so calm as it was Saturday.
