REAR DRIVERSIDE DOOR LOCK STOPPED WORKING

My rear drivers side door has been slower at working than all the others for the six years I have owned my 1999 TD5.
Now it has stopped working all together. Any one have an easy fix or do I have to exhume the actuator?

Put a new one, it'll last 10+ years and it's not easy enough to replace as to play with improvisations
