Hi.
Just wondering if anybody has made a rope pulley system to lift the canvas and frames on a camper trailer.Any links or pics would be greatly appreciated.
Mine is very heavy and having a stuffed back its difficult to erect alone.
Willing to try blue pills:):):):):)

I haven't made such a system, but if it's one of those things you are likely to have to do alone, there is a range of ratcheting pulleys used in sail boats. Ronstan orbit series are one example.

Get a hard floor camper! Even my 8 year old can wind it up by himself. Soooo much easier

I'm looking at fabricating something for that very purpose this weekend. I'll post the solution i come up with. Thinking of something on the lines of the sheerlegs i used to use for standing up windmill towers years ago

Its a side fold.
I would like it to be useable so I can camp solo, well Deb will be there but not much help setting it up.My back doesnt like setting it up Im afraid.
I dont want to buy a new hardfloor,I built this trailer from scratch, would like to be able to use it easier then I would consider finishing the build.
Pedro,I want a van,my desires see me needing $100K,awaiting my friends, the Lotto Godz to smile upon me.I have the tow rig sorted:p:p:p:p:p
Only used the camper trailer for one trip, tows great, comfortable bed, hard to set up alone. It has another outing coming up,I will then decide to scrap it or finish it.

Both Mountain Trails and Aussieswag offer push button setups on their camper trailers. I saw the Mountain Trails one in operation recently and it was impressive. I couldn't tell you anything technical about it, but their websites might give some clues.

There is a guy in Wangara that builds "Follow Me Campers" , builds a good product too and he has a strut fitted to the middle bow on the side fold campers , if you look on his website and check out the Frankland Explore and in second picture you see how it is fitted .
When I was there he showed me how it worked and worked well it did , just give the bows a push and up it all goes .
