I'll be taking my 2016 90 to the Land Rover Experience Day in Werribee in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone have any info on the Werribee location? Should I be fine without a raised air intake (not sure what depth water they bring you through), and are there any other recommendations for the day?

Thanks

I have a voucher to do this in Adelaide and am curious to hear of anyone who's done it in Adelaide...

Is anyone on this site involved in running these?

***sorry to jump into your thread Davisshannon but figured in same style... I doubt they'll put you anywhere that may damage vehicle etc esp water without a warning...

I was going to do an experience day... until I found out it was using my Defender... :o

In the UK, the JLR Experience Days provide the vehicle and the instructors really push it to the limits so you get max learning about how to explore all the vehicle capabilities without worrying at all about accidentally damaging it. Or having to clean off all the mud etc!

A shame they have not carried over this here... :(

They're a good day. Nothing outside the operational specs of the vehicle as laid out by LR...

A couple of weeks ago I framed in my 2014 Defender 90 for a brand new 2016 Defender 110 with 35 kilometres on the clock at an exorbitant price. But I admit I wanted that truck. Even though it was NSW registered I was the first owner, other than it being a dealer car. Please correct me in I'm wrong, but I would consider it if not a new car then at least a demo. But alas, as it was advertised as a used car I don't qualify for the Land Rover Experience day!

For Sydney punters, there's LRE option at Lithgow. I did it a last year a few months after getting my new 110, and it was a great day for a first time Defender owner.

It's not particularly challenging, but it's a very good way of learning about your car in a controlled environment. The focus is on the cars capabilities, not how to four wheel drive. It's good for confidence in the car.

As suggested above, good for first time Defender owners.

MCL offered me a day at werribee and nothing difficult.
You have standard ascend and descent, some with rocks, going thru paddles and testing horizontal angles. Also you would drive thru a creek but it was only ~200mm deep so no snorkel required.
It is a fun day with lunch.

You'll be fine,

The facility they use will be the 4x4 proving grounds at Mt Cotrell.

We do club proficiency training out there and a couple of the LROCV trainers also do Land Rover Experience.

Which parts of the facility they use, including how they use the Werribee river will be governed by the weather conditions and river flow on the day.

They are very aware of the lack of experience of many of the drivers and no one will want anyone to go home with a damaged vehicle.

I am sure you will have an absolute ball.
