Hi there, a mate and I bulk buy stuff together, Penrite recommend Enviro+ C4 for his D4 ENVIRO+ C4 5W-30 (Full Synthetic) (http://www.penriteoil.com.au/products.php?id_categ=1&id_brand=2&id_products=306), but recommend HPR Diesel 5 for my D3 HPR DIESEL 5 5W-40 (Semi Syn.) (http://www.penriteoil.com.au/products.php?id_categ=1&id_brand=1&id_products=7)

Can I use the Enviro safely in my D3 (Territory motor), which strangely they recommend HPR5 for HPR 5 5W-40 (Full Synthetic) (http://www.penriteoil.com.au/products.php?id_categ=1&id_brand=1&id_products=1), even though it's the same as the D3 motor?

I've wondered the same Will. My Renault uses the Enviro+ C4, and it would be nice just to have one oil type in the shed, but I don't know enough about what the different oil specs mean to know whether it would have a damaging effects or not.

I have used both in my D3. Am using HPR 5w - 40 and have used the enviro as well. Both are fully synthetic .

I have been using 5w-40 since we got the car 5 years ago.

Cheers Ean

For non DPF motors it is recommended to use the Ford spec M2C913 B/C
full synthetic.I am going to use this Penrite next oil change, should suit the D3 and the Renault if they are both 'non' DPF.

If both vehicles are Euro 4 spec with NO DPF, then I recommend and use Penrite HPR DIESEL 5 5W40 Semi Synthetic. It meets the Land Rover spec (Ford spec 913 for non DPF)

If you do a search or look through all my posts you will see a lot of my long winded post with regards to semi, fully, synthetic oils and what I recommend (all IMHO), doing a search you will also see others and their opinions....

Daz

P.S as for the bulk buy, there really isnt much difference between Penrite trade price and Supercheap auto Penrite retail price, with the exception of top high spec oils such as Progear and their (actual) full synthetics (PAO or ester base oils).
