Land Tiger

Well my Land Rover fever (madness) has returned.
A 120 land rover 1985 Isuzu 4spd.
This last week I have been trying to align the rear and front bulkhead and doors.
The front bulkhead had been sandblasted and lanolin oiled. The rear bulkhead was from a Td5 , the original was damaged and torn aluminium.
This has been a challenge.
Initially I took the rear bulkhead on chassis as my stating point, measured 880mm and fixed the front.
The number of adjustment points is mind blowing!
The passenger side has beautifully lined up with 6mm packing under the front chassis bracket (4 bolts). Push this bracket towards the front and bulkhead leans forward. Push back towards cabin and packing leans the bulkhead in towards cab. Packing washers in the bulkhead bolt moves the complete structure forward... keeping 880mm gap for doors.
There is some adjustment up and down on the rear bulkhead.
I have lost count number of times I have tried to set the drivers side. The rear is approx. 4 mm out when the door fold line meets the back, otherwise everything is parallel.
I have now drilled the bulkhead for the door locks as catches are totally different from the Td5. The doors close real nice against the door seals.
Tomorrow I start lining up the guards.
Hope the blue slip will be easier than all of this.
