Air Filter Material - Air Compressor?

I noticed this on my air compressor. What would I replace it with?

If I buy some foam, what kind of grade/specs am I looking for?

you can get the proper filter foam from mower/chainsaw repair shops.

some kitchen sponge materials and microfiber cloths make good replacements

Ive gotten it from supercheap and repco in the past and some larger bunnings and home hardware stores carry it as well.
